Olympian Trails and Wonderlands

Back in 1940 and 1941, the Milwaukee Road produced a number of "travel" films to promote their passenger services and vacation packages to Montana, Idaho and Washington.  These films were made to show to clubs, church groups, civic organizations and other groups.

The Milwaukee Road used much of the same footage in each of these four films.  Some have "rough spots" due to frequent use over time and normal deterioration as the film aged.  However, we felt the historical value of the material deserved preservation and availability for both our members and the general public.  Here then, for your enjoyment is a look at travel promotion, beautiful scenery and trains from an era long gone on the Milwaukee Road.  We hope you enjoy the sights, sounds, and colorful scenery on your trip back in history.
